Police are awaiting documents from Thai police before wrapping up their investigations on Xavier Andre Justo in connection with the 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB).
Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar said the Swiss citizen gave his full cooperation during his interview with Malaysian police yesterday.
“The investigation is still ongoing. As of yesterday, our team only interviewed Justo. We are still waiting to take several pieces of evidence (documents) pertaining to the case,” he told a press conference after launching the Green Day Programme at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) here today.
The police team headed by Bukit Aman CID deputy director (Investigation/Legal) Datuk Amar Singh Ishar Singh was tasked with obtaining Justo’s statement.
Justo on Aug 17 was sentenced to three years’ jail by the South Bangkok Criminal Court for stealing 90 gigabytes of data which included emails, documents and other materials from PetroSaudi International.
